Peter Couri

Partner & Portfolio Manager

Peter Couri is an owner of QMR Partners, LLC and the Portfolio Manager for the real estate assets. He oversees the day-to-day operation of the real estate business, which includes sourcing and underwriting new real estate investment opportunities, identifying and securing financing for real estate investment properties, portfolio construction and management, employee management, and investor relations.

From 2013 – 2020, Peter Couri was the Portfolio Manager for CF Real Estate and CFRE-Bourgmont where he oversaw all of the investing and portfolio management aspects of both real estate funds. In tandem with his role at CF Real Estate, Mr. Couri also worked as a Senior Analyst with CFI Partners, a credit focused investment firm.

Prior to his involvement with CFRE and CFI Partners, Mr. Couri was a founding principal of Cooperstown Capital Management, corporate long-short credit hedge fund based in Greenwich, CT that was launched in September 2010 with a focus on distressed, event-driven and special situation investments.

Prior to Cooperstown, Mr. Couri was a Senior Research Analyst with Durham Asset Management from May 2003-December 2009. Durham was a value-oriented credit-focused hedge fund specializing in corporate debt and distressed investments.

From January 1996 to April 2003, Mr. Couri was an Associate Media Director for FCB Worldwide, a division of Interpublic Group, an international advertising agency, where he was involved in the planning and management of the media advertising efforts and budgets for two of the firm’s Fortune 500 company clients.

Mr. Couri earned his M.B.A. in Finance and Marketing from the University of Chicago in 2002 and his B.A. in Business Administration, Marketing, from the University of Notre Dame in 1995.

Brad Couri

Partner

Brad Couri is a founding partner at QMR Partners.  He was the largest investor in the predecessor companies to QMR Partners - CF Real Estate IL, LLC and CFRE-Bourgmont, LLC - and was the Managing Member of all of the real estate investment LLCs.

Mr. Couri founded CFI Partners, a predominately credit focused investment management firm, in 2005,  From its inception until July, 2023, he shared responsibility for firm-wide management with the other Managing Principal. Brad was additionally responsible for overall portfolio risk and construction, as well as strategic planning. Recently Mr. Couri stepped down from his daily management role at CFI Partners to become a Special Advisor to the firm. 

Prior to forming CFIP, Mr. Couri was a Managing Director at Citadel Investment Group, LLC; he was the founder of Citadel’s distressed investment and fundamental credit group and was responsible for overall portfolio construction and risk management for Citadel’s multi-billion-dollar fundamental credit portfolios. He was also a member of the firm-wide Portfolio Management Committee. Before Citadel, Mr. Couri was a Portfolio Manager at the Bank of Montreal, and he began his career at First Chicago Corp. where he was an Assistant Portfolio Manager/ Senior Counsel & Legal Analyst. Mr. Couri earned a B.A. from the University of Notre Dame and a J.D. from the University of Illinois. Mr. Couri has been involved in several educational charities as a board member and board chair.

Brooks Harding

Director of Asset Management & Acquisitions

Brooks Harding started at QMR Partners in 2022. Brooks has experience in real estate asset management. 

Brooks is responsible for overseeing asset performance and managing acquisitions. 

Brooks Harding received his undergraduate degree from Depauw University and his graduate degree from The University of Notre Dame.

Personally, Brooks enjoys paddle tennis, watching the Cubs, and spending time with his wife and 2 kids.

Joseph Couri

Analyst & Compliance Manager

Joseph Couri started at QMR Partners in 2019. With a background in tax accounting, he re-shaped his skills towards real estate.

Joseph's responsibilities range from day-to-day compliance and accounting, overseeing and obtaining loans, to underwriting prospective assets for acquisitions.

Joseph Couri received his undergraduate degree from Saint Louis University and his graduate degree from The University of Illinois Chicago. After graduation he pursued and received his CPA.

 Personally, Joseph enjoys training Jiu Jitsu, reading, and traveling with his wife.
